Olubunmi Jimo was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a Master degree in Sports Science from the University of Konstanz, Germany, in addition to a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy, obtained from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He writes and speaks English fluently and is learning German.


Bunmi has over nine years of professional experience as a physiotherapist, including in sports therapy. He also worked as a Sports Development Officer for a Sports Management company, where he was actively involved in talent recruitment and saw first-hand how sports can influence lives positively and bring about community development. In signing up for the project, he believes in the efficacy of Capoeira, a Sport encompassing play and music, as a viable tool for use in enriching and impacting human lives.


An avid sports lover, he spends most of his free time watching and analysing football. He follows other sports like basketball, especially the NBA and Tennis. He also loves to read fiction and sometimes writes, which he describes as his “outlet for expression”.
